Does a new opener need a battery backup in California?
Yes. Since July 1, 2019, California has required a battery backup on garage door openers sold or installed in homes (SB 969). Our installs include one.
Belt drive or chain drive?
A belt drive runs quieter, which matters when a bedroom sits over the garage. That's why our starting price is for a belt drive.
My garage has little room above the door. Can it take an opener?
Usually, if the door runs on torsion springs. A wall-mount opener bolts to the wall beside the door and turns the spring shaft directly, so it needs no ceiling rail. We measure the headroom and quote it at the door.
